Garo Cigars - HGB San Andreas
Garo Cigars - HGB San Andreas
Garo’s recent addition to his repertoire is the HGB line, featuring a delicious and oily San Andres Maduro wrapper with Dominican and Nicaraguan fillers and binder.
The following is my own review of the cigar:
“Upon lighting Garo’s HGB (B, 6.5x54) cigar, one is greeted with feeling of warmth – a non-intrusive smoke that lingers on your tongue for a good while – coating the taste buds with subtle spiciness of cayenne pepper combined with a hint of sweetness reminiscent of sugarcane molasses.
About an inch further down into the cigar, a noticeable flavor of ginger tea comes into play. The burn is even, with solid ash, and a medium-to-full strength profile.
About halfway in, I get notes of oregano and peppercorn. Then, towards the latter half of the cigar, the strength builds up to a solid full body, with muted notes of anise and nutmeg.
Overall, this is a hearty San Andres that is enjoyable and will definitely suit the palate of the connoisseur who seeks robust goodness from a toro-extra vitola”.
